Former Type 2 Diabetic, Insulin Free, Barbarian Warrior - REGGIE

I started my journey back in November of 2015, what made me decide was the reason of me being an insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic, I also had to take pills for it along with blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds as well. I was 235lbs wearing jeans size 36, didn’t have energy always sluggish and was depressed all the time.

I decided to make a change and signed up for personal training at a local gym in Bremerton Washington and that’s how i met Walt, we were both members, he was very encouraging and even gave me some pointers, we would continue to wave at each other and chat with each other at passing of course giving me some words of wisdom about my workouts.

I didn’t start to lose the weight until about March of 2016 - I noticed a big difference and people I knew started noticing too. I didn’t give up and kept going. Months later something happened that my personal trainer had some personal issues that he had to deal with so he left the gym. I continued showing up and taking RIPPED classes and doing my own workouts. That was the time Walt and I talked and he mentioned he had been helping people online to reach their goals. So he invited me to workout at his home gym (garage) I would meet him 2 times a week. I continued doing personal training with him until he got a job at Crunch Fitness.

I continued on my path at this point with Walt’s Camp Crunch classes (circuit training with HIIT Cardio) i lost a total of 64lbs I was scrawny compared to how I was. I was able to fit size 30 jeans woohoo. I was at this point insulin free, doctor took me off the insulin injections but kept me on pills, lowered my blood pressure meds. I then started gaining muscle weight.

To date I weigh 185lbs still insulin free-and have a more positive outlook in life. I am grateful for meeting Walt for he always gave me pointers and always cared. He has been and will always be part of my journey as I look back. - So my advise is if you are in the same situation as I was, take that big step...do it for yourself and believe me you will be thankful you did! Never give up!
